terms of service (placeholder draft)
1. what tuft is
tuft ("the interface") is open-source software for creating and trading tokens on a public Solana program that implements a bonding curve, an automated market maker and a fee-routing rule. the interface is not a financial service, exchange, broker, custodian, adviser or crypto-asset service provider. it does not issue, list, endorse or vet any token.
the interface is not affiliated with pump.fun, Solana Labs, the Solana Foundation or any wallet provider.
2. eligibility
you must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. you may not use the interface if you are located in, resident in or a national of the United Kingdom, France (including its overseas departments and territories), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, the Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk regions, any other jurisdiction we block, or if you are on a sanctions list. we block these regions at the network edge and screen wallets; you agree not to circumvent this with a VPN, proxy or other means.
you are responsible for the laws that apply to you, including rules on crypto-assets, marketing, gambling, securities and tax.
3. modes
paper mode is a simulation kept in your browser. nothing is sent to any blockchain and no balance is real.
devnet mode sends transactions to Solana devnet. devnet tokens and devnet SOL have no value.
mainnet mode sends real transactions with real SOL. every transaction you sign is final and irreversible. mainnet may be disabled or paused at any time.
4. non-custodial
the interface never holds your funds or private keys. your wallet shows you each transaction and you decide whether to sign it. you are solely responsible for your wallet and every transaction you sign.
5. fees and fee routing
the program takes a trade fee (currently 1%) and routes it, by an on-chain rule described in the "how it works" page, either to buy back and burn tokens or to a program-owned floor reserve that no one, including the operators, can withdraw. the floor reserve is not a deposit, a claim, a redemption right or an obligation of anyone. a protocol fee share may be enabled by the admin within the cap set in the program.
the Solana network charges its own transaction fees and account rent.
6. tokens and user content
anyone can create a token. names, symbols, images and descriptions are made by their creators. they may be false, offensive, infringing or deceptive. if you create a token you are its creator and responsible for its content and legality. do not use another person's name, image or trademark. we may hide reported tokens from the interface; we cannot remove anything from the blockchain.
7. no advice, no promises
nothing in the interface is financial, legal or tax advice, or an offer or solicitation. fitted parameters, phases, charts and read-outs describe past trades of one market and predict nothing. tokens are highly speculative and most lose all value.
8. prohibited uses
money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, market manipulation (including wash trading and coordinated schemes), impersonation, and attacking or overloading the interface.
9. no warranty; limitation of liability
the interface and the program are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. prices, quotes and read-outs may be delayed or wrong; third-party services (RPC nodes, websockets, gateways, wallets) may fail. to the fullest extent permitted by law the operators are not liable for any loss of funds, tokens or data, or any indirect or consequential loss, from your use of the interface or the program. nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. changes and contact
we may change these terms; the version number shown in the mainnet gate will change and you will be asked to accept again. contact: [TO BE COMPLETED BY OPERATOR]. governing law and venue: [TO BE COMPLETED BY COUNSEL].
